Ashok Kumar Mohanty

Biography

Prof. Ashok Kumar Mohanty is the recipient of Gold Medal for securing First Class First position in M. Com Examination of Berhampur University in 1981. He holds a Ph. D. degree in Commerce from Berhampur University. He has guided 07 Ph.D. Scholars and 02 D.Lit performing research in various fields like Technology Transfer in Automobile sectors, Export Import Study of Major Ports, UTI Saving Mobilization, NPA Management, Study of Foreign Banks, Study of Rural Infrastructure etc.. Apart from teaching and research he has acted as Comptroller of Finance, Deputy Registrar and Registrar of Berhampur University during 2010 to 2015. He was also the Head of the department of Commerce from 2000-2002.He has published more than 80 articles in various national and international journals. He has participated and presented papers in many conferences and seminars. His areas of interest include Banking and Finance. He is a life member of academic bodies like Indian Commerce Association, Indian Academy of Social Science and Orissa Commerce Association. He is the presently heading the P.G. Department of Commerce.
