Biography

Dr Amit Kulkarni is Consultant Neurologist and Stroke Specialist at BGS Gleneagles Global hospital, Bangalore. Having trained in Neurology in one of India’s finest institutes (Maulana Azad Medical College and GB Pant hospital, New Delhi) he excels in treatment of all Neurological cases like Stroke, Headache, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, MS other demyelinating disorders and other complex neurological conditions. He is a Clinical Fellow in Stroke, trained from National University Hospital, Singapore. He is an expert in the field of Stroke Neurology and Neurosonology. He is one of the pioneers in introducing Neurosonology to Karnataka and India as an integral part of treatment and follow-up of stroke care. He is amongst a handful of Indian Stroke Neurologists comprehensively certified by the prestigious American Society of Neuroimaging (ASN). He has conducted live interactive hands-on TCD (transcranial Doppler) workshops, CMEs and other training programs for Neurologists and Critical Care Physicians at both international and national forums. He is a regular teaching National faculty in Stroke, Neurology and Neurosonology conferences across the country. He has numerous journal publications, book chapters to his credit.
