Biography
Prof. Subba Rao was awarded the doctor of philosophy from the prestigious IISc, Bangalore. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia, he was designated as Professor of Biochemistry at his alma-mater. He later went on to head the department of biochemistry at IISc before taking over as the Scientific Director and the CEO of the Vittal Mallya Scientific Research Foundation and the president of research at the United Breweries group of companies. He has received numerous awards including the National VASVIK award for biological sciences and technology in 1999. Prof Subba Rao brings his experience and vision to Bigtec labs to help chart the path forward and ensure that Bigtec labs remains at the fore front of the biotech industry.
