Biography
Ravi Limaye is the President of Marketing at Biocon and is responsible for the global business of the company. He has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in India and overseas in diverse roles in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Licensing, Strategy and General Management. Before joining Biocon, Ravi was Senior Vice President with Novartis responsible for Speciality Business and Pharmaceuticals Business Development & Licensing. He has worked for 14 years in GlaxoSmithKline in roles of increasing responsibility in India, Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific, including Marketing Manager; GM, Sales & Marketing; Head of Business Development & Licensing and Vice President, Pharmaceuticals India; followed by a stint at the GSK headquarters in London as Head of Established Medicines CoE for Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific. Before this Ravi worked in Ranbaxy and Roussel (now a part of Sanofi) in various roles in Marketing. Ravi is an M. Pharm from Bombay University and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj, Bombay University. Ravi also did an Advanced Leadership Development Program at INSEAD while working with GSK.
