Biography
Sunaina Prabhu is working as principal scientist in biocon. She completedmasters in Quality mangement and bachelors in biotechnology. I am a Biotech professional with 8 years of extensive research experience in mammalian cell culture for production of novel and biosimilar therapeutics against cancer and autoimmune diseases. I have vast experience in upstream process development aimed at optimizing protein production with desired product quality attributes. Key contributions include design of an in vitro platform to control the N-linked glycosylation pattern of mAbs including BIOMAb-EGFR®, CANMAb™ and ALZUMAb™. The ADCC (Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity) activity of ALZUMAb™ was improved through manipulation of its fucose content using cell culture techniques. Current work includes process characterization using DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical tools and tech support to manufacturing facility for the production of an anti-TNFα monoclonal antibody against rheumatoid arthritis.
