Dr. S. K. Pandey is affiliated to Department of Paleoboatny, Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany. Dr. S. K. Pandey is currently providing services as Scientist ‘B’. Dr. S. K. Pandey has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented works at many national and International conferences. Dr. S. K. Pandey contributions have acclaimed recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. S. K. Pandey is actively associated with different societies and academies. Dr. S. K. Research Interest

Dr. Santosh Kumar Pandey research work investigates the emergence of the macroscopic multicellular complex eukaryotic life of the Cryogenian, Ediacara and Cambrian period. Studies incorporate to understand the affinity, phylogeny, ichnology, taphonomic bias, depositional environment, sedimentology and geochemistry of enigmatic life forms representing the very first metazoans and metaphytes, which were responsible for early complex biosphere on the earth. Presently, Dr. Santosh Kumar Pandey engaged with unique Ediacaran-Cambrian succession of peninsular India i.e. the Marwar Supergroup and promising Croyogenian-Ediacara succession of Bhander Group, Vindhyan Supergroup, India along with classical Ediacara Lantian Formation of South China.
