Biography
Dr. Ajay Kumar Sah is Associate Professor of Chemistry at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani; Pilani Campus. He holds PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from IIT Bombay, Mumbai and his research interest lies in the areas of metal complexation, catalysis and bioinorganic chemistry. Dr. Sah is a recipient of prestigious JSPS fellowship and he was postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Chemistry, Nara Women's University, Japan. He has also visited University of Florida, USA and Toho University, Japan as postdoctoral fellow before joining BITS Pilani. Dr. Sah has about 12 years of research and 8 years of teaching experience. One Ph.D. student has graduated under his supervision and currently he is supervising two PhD students. He has completed one research project as PI, sponsored by DST, New Delhi and another research project sponsored by UGC is under progress. He has published twenty three peer-reviewed research papers in various international journals and one in national journal.
Research Interest
Synthesis of metal complexes of ligands derived from carbohydrates and to study their structure biological as well as catalytic activity.
