Biography
Dr. P. R. Deepa Joined BITS, Pilani as a faculty member in April 2005. Her key responsibilities include: Teaching classroom/laboratory courses in biomedical collaborative progammes, Mentoring students during their Final year Internship course (Practice School-II) and Summer-term Internship course (Practice School-I) in various research organizations and industries, Coordination of collaborative programmes at Chennai. Collaborative research with Vision Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya - Chennai, has been ongoing since 2005. Other research efforts have been jointly with CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (Chennai) and with faculty colleagues at BITS.
Research Interest
Disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies in the areas of cardiovascular disorders and cancer.
