Biography
Dr. Ram Kinkar Roy is currently working as professor in the department of Chemistry. Prior to this he was a Research Associate (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) with Dr. Sourav Pal at National Chemical Laboratory, Physical Chemistry Division, Pune -- 411008, India. In 1997-1998 : Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow(National Science Foundation, Belgium) with Prof. Paul Geerlings at Vrije Universiteit Brussel , B-1050 Brussels,Belgium and in 1998-1999 : Postdoctoral Fellow,Intelligent Modelling Laboratory,University of Tokyo with Prof.Kimihiko Hirao. His research interest involves Conceptual development of DFT-based reactivity descriptors, Local reactivity studies of chemical and biological systems, Theoretical studies on charge redistribution in ionic systems.
