Biography
Dr Kiran Bajaj has joined Department of Chemistry, Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani as DST-SERB Young Scientist in March 2014. She has received her Ph. D. degree from C.C.S. University, Meerut. During the Ph.D. research tenure, she worked on design; synthesis and biological evaluation of benzothiaziepines and benzoxazepines based hybrids. She has also worked with renowned Prof. Alan R Katrizky at University of Florida, USA as Post Doc Fellow. During Post Doc tenure,She worked as a group leader in his research group and substantially contributed to the group by handling industrial sponsored research projects as well as other projects in the area of heterocyclic and peptide chemistry.
Research Interest
Solution Phase Synthesis of Peptides and Peptidomimetics, Development of noval Ligation techniques to synthesize Peptides of choice, Modified Native Chemical Ligation techniques to synthesize Peptides and Peptidomimetics, Design, Synthesis and Biological evaluation of Peptide Conjugates, Synthesis and Application of new Ligation probes.
