Biography
Dr. Prabhat N Jha completed his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga (Bihar) and, obtained Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from Banaras Hindu University, India, where he studied plant growth promoting properties and colonization mechanism of endophytic diazotrophic bacteria recovered from rice and other plants. He also studied effect of UV-B on physiology of cyanobacteria. In 2006, he was awarded DBT-postdoctoral fellowship to work at Plant molecular Biology division, National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, India. Dr. Jha has been working as Assistant Professor at Department of Biological sciences, BITS Pilani since April 2008. Considering research as a soul of teaching, Dr. Jha has been working in the field of plant-microbe interaction and microbial ecology.
