Biography
Dr. Subit Kumar Saha did Ph.D. Chemistry, January 1998, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, M.Sc. (Chemistry, Physical Chemistry specialization), University of Kalyani, Kalyani, WB, 1990, B.Sc. Chemistry (Honours), University of Kalyani, Kalyani, WB, 1988. Currently working as professor in the department of chemistry from December 1999 to present, Department of Chemistry, BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. Prior to this he was a CSIR Research Associate, April 1998 – November 1999, IIT Kanpur, Senior Project Fellow (DAE sponsored), August 1997 – December 1997, IIT Kanpur, Postgraduate Research Student, July 1992 to July 1997, IIT Kanpur. His research interest is in Characterization of micelles, reverse micelles, cyclodextrins and proteins using probes showing twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT), intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) and excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) fluorescence.Characterization of micelles of Gemini surfactants and mixed micelles of Gemini surfactants and ionic liquids and study on solvation dynamics and rotational relaxation of some coumarins in different micellar systems.
