Biography

Dr. Sudeshna M Chowdhury joined BITS-Pilani as a regular faculty on 25th March, 2017. Initially I was working here as an Assistant Professor (Contract) from July,2013 till April, 2017. She did her PhD from Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI, Kolkata) under Jadavpur University. Her graduate research was primarily focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms to carcinogenesis with special emphasis on cell cycle dys-regulation and chromosomal aberrations on embryonic fibroblasts. After graduation she moved on to USA where Dr. Sudeshna M Chowdhury did her post doctoral research from Dept. of Biochemistry, Tufts School of Medicine, Boston, USA. My research was on Polyoma Middle T Antigen mediated signaling in cancer.She moved from USA to India and joined BITS-Pilani on July,2107 with her DST-SERB Young Scientist Grant and is presently working here as an Assistant professor in Biological Sciences Dept.
