Biography
Uma S Dubey did Masters in Life Sciences from the Institute of Life Sciences at Kanpur. After this she was a graduate student and conducted research in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Later did her Ph. D. in Immunology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow under the guidance of Prof. S.S. Agarwal (Ex Director SGPGI, Lucknow). Later at Kanpur, was also involved in teaching and program development in the departments of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Environmental Sciences at the Institute of Life Sciences, Kanpur University. Presently, she is working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, BITS, Pilani. Her broad area of research interest are Cancer Biology and Immunology, and also interested in interdisciplinary research on mathematical modeling of immunological systems, cancer cells and their interactions and have been involved in teaching various courses and guiding students in research related projects.She has coordinated the course restructuring changes at M.Sc. and ME level in biosciences department at BITS, Pilani as the DCA Convenor (2012-2014).
