Biography
Ed Walsh is President of Black & Veatch's global power business, leading the company's efforts to meet worldwide demand for reliable power. He sets and oversees the strategic direction of the business, which provides cost-competitive, environmentally sound infrastructure in power generation (renewables, nuclear and fossil fuels) and power delivery. Walsh joined Black & Veatch in 2003, and previously served as Executive Vice President and Executive Director of Global Services Projects within Black & Veatch's energy business. He has spent more than 40 years in the global engineering and construction industry, helping clients support their customers' power needs in rapidly changing business and regulatory environments. Walsh has led successful power projects all over the world, including North America, South Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, India, China, Indonesia and Thailand, among other regions. He graduated from Utica College in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. In 1997, he completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard's Graduate School of Business.
