Biography
Dr. Abhijit Vilas Kulkarni works as a Cardiologist at Apollo Hospital Bannerghatta Road, Jayanagar Apollo Hospital and Dr. Malathi Manipal Hospital, Jayanagar Bangalore. Over 15 years of experience, makes Dr. Kulkarni specialized in the field of Interventional Cardiology with a special interest in Primary Angioplasty, Device Closure and PTMC (Percutaneous Transvenous Mitral Commissurotomy). He has done his MBBS from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli. Dr. Kulkarni has further pursued MD in Internal Medicine from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research,(PGIMER) Chandigarh. Later he had completed Doctor of Medicine in Cardiology from Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore. Dr. Kulkarni has presented papers at both National and International Conferences. [shrink]

He completed his MBBS from the Government Stanley Medical College in Chennai. He completed his MD [Pediatrics] from the Government Medical College in Vadodara, Gujarat. He was awarded the M.S.University gold medal during his MD training.He pursued his super specialty training in adult and pediatric cardiology at the famous Sri Sathya Sai Institute Of Higher Medical Sciences [SSSIHMS] at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh from 2008 to 2011.He completed his further one-year Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences at Whitefield in Bangalore. He gained vast experience in all facets of cardiology during his training and association with these institutions. [shrink]
