Biography

Dr. Jayaprakash Shenthar is well experienced and leading cardiac electrophysiologist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of electrophysiology associated with Sakra World Hospital (Bangalore). He is one of the few cardiologists in India to practice electro physiology exclusively. He is one of the pioneers in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias in India. Dr.Jayaprakash has established the specialty of electrophysiology at various hospitals. He is a proctor for training cardiologists for implantation of Implantable cardioverter defibrillator and Biventricular pacemaker. Dr.Jayaprakash performs > 600 ablations and about 550 device implantations yearly and has performed more than 5000 ablations and > 6000 pacemaker and device implantations in adult and pediatric patients. He is extremely skilled in performing complex supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmia ablations using 3 D electroanatomical (both CARTO and Ensuite) mapping systems in adult as well as pediatric patients. [shrink]
