Biography
Dr. N. Krishna Reddy has an MD in Internal Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, and a fellowship in Cardiology leading to DM from the GB Pant Hospital, Delhi University, New Delhi. Beginning his career as Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, he was instrumental in introducing transesophageal echocardiography and dobutamine echocardiography. He joined MediCiti Hospitals, Hyderabad, in 1993, where he set up the Electrophysiology Department, introducing radio frequency ablation in the state. He has played a key role in the active application of cardiac MRI in a variety of clinical situations and was a core team member in the development of indigenous coronary stents, beginning with the Kalam-Raju stent and proceeding towards nanocarbon coating technology. Dr Krishna Reddy was one of the core founders of CARE Hospitals in 1997. His key areas of interest are strategic planning, corporate and clinical governance systems, and delivery models aimed at making high quality medical care accessible and affordable. He has many national and international publications to his credit and is principal investigator for several ongoing national and international trials.
