Dr. Wahajuddin

Biography

Dr Wahajuddin has completed his postdoctoral research in 2014 at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, NC, USA). He is currently working as Scientist at Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism Division, CSIR Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India created by Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. He is also working as Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) and as a Course Coordinator, MS (Pharm) in pharmaceutics, at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Raebareli under the aegis of Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India. He has won many prestigious awards including Young Pharmaceutical Analyst Award 2012 from Indian Drug Manufacturer’s Association, DBT- Cutting-edge Research Enhancement & Scientific Training (DBT-CREST) Award 2011-12 from Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India), SERB-DST Fast Track Young Scientist Proposal Award 2011 from Dept. of Sc. & Tech. Govt. of India.

Research Interest

Studying pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics of potential candidate molecules (synthetic as well as of natural origin) of CSIR-CDRI drug R&D pipeline (in addition to marketed drugs/metabolites/natural products) and deciphering the molecular mechanism(s) of ADME/disposition thereof.
