Biography
Sutapa Mukherji is a theoretical physicist working in the interdisciplinary area of Physics and Biology. Before joining CFTRI, she was an associate professor at the Physics department of IIT-Kanpur.
Research Interest
Her primary interest lies in mathematical modelling of various cellular processes that include transport inside the cell, nonequilibrium growth dynamics of microtubules etc. In addition, she also works on thermodynamic properties of out-of-equilibrium systems consisitng of a single particle subjected to a noisy environment.
