Biography
Usha Dharmaraj is currently a Senior Technical officer in the Department of Grain science and technology Central Food Technological Research Institute, India. She completed Ph. D (Food Science). She got Best poster award in Solae Colloquium on Plant Proteins of National Nutrition Security, Mysore, 2004 (second place) 2. Best poster paper award under the category nutraceuticals and functional foods during XXII Indian Convention of Food Scientists and Technologists, ICFoST, 6-7 December 2012, CFTRI, Mysore (First place) 3. Individual award for scientific contributions under Gr. III for the year 2012 date of announcement 0 2.05.2013.
Research Interest
Processing of millets and pseudo cereals, formulation of specialty products like food for diabetics, weaning food, beverages and value added products from millets like decorticated ragi expanded millets, multi grain flakes etc., Preparation of functional ingredients from cereals
