Biography
Arnab Mukherjee is currently a Scientist in the department of Nano-Structured Materials Division CSIR Central glass and ceramic research institute India. He completed B.Sc. (Chemistry), University of Calcutta, Calcutta, India, M.S. (Chemical Sciences), IISc., Bangalore, India and Ph.D. (Chemistry) Rice University, Houston, TX, USA. He got Richard Turner Memorial award" Dept. of Chemistry, Rice University (2009, Gordon Conference Chair Travel Award, Nanostructure Fabrication (2008),Graduate Student Travel Award from Office of Dean, Rice University (2007), CBEN Travel Award, Rice University (2007). Dr. Mukherjee joined CGCRI on April 16, 2012 as Scientist (Scientist C).
Research Interest
Chemistry of nanomaterials with special references to carbon nanomaterials like single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), graphene and organic photovoltaics, their synthesis, chemical functionalization and fabrication followed by characterization.
