Biography
Dr. Rajendra Nath Basu, FNAE is currently a Chief Scientist & Head in the department of Fuel Cell & Battery Division CSIR Central glass and ceramic research institute India. He completed B.Sc. (Hons.) (Physics), University of Burdwan, M.Sc. (Physics), IIT, Kharagpur and Ph.D. (Materials Science), IIT, Kharagpur. Dr. Basu is also acting as :Chairman, International Science & Technology Affairs Group (ISTAG), CSIR-CGCRI Secretary, West Bengal Academy of Science & Technology (WAST).
Research Interest
Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC): Materials, Fabrication, Stack Engineering including High temperature Glass-ceramics Sealants, Li-ion Batteries, Mixed Ionic & Electronic conductor (MIEC)-based membrane for gas separation, Solid Oxide Electrolyser Cell (SOEC), Semiconducting oxide-based PTC thermistors, Gas-phase O2 sensor, High-Tc Ceramic Superconductor, Nanostructured electroceramic materials synthesis, Fabrication of thin/thick films by electrophoretic, vacuum slip casting, slurry/spray coating, chemical vapour deposition.
