Biography
Dr. Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay is currebtly a Chief Scientist and head in the department of Bioceramics & Coating Division CSIR Central glass and ceramic research institute India. He completed B.Sc.Tech. (Ceramic Technology), University of Calcutta, 1979 and Ph.D (Engineering), Jadavpur University, 1988.
Research Interest
Advanced materials based on non oxide ceramics. Opened up a new area of research in our country, called oxynitride ceramics. Studies include phase relationships, formation mechanisms, optical & thermo-mechanical properties, component developments for wear, thermo-mechanical & optical applications.
