Biography
Dr. Tarun Kumar Gangopadhyay is currently a Senior Principal Scientist in the department of Fiber Optics & Photonics Division CSIR Central glass and ceramic research institute India. He completed B.E.E. (Electrical Engineering), Jadavpur University, Calcutta (Kolkata),M.E.E. (Electrical Engineering), Jadavpur University, Calcutta (Kolkata) and Ph.D. (Engineering), The University of Sydney, Australia.
Research Interest
Optical Fibre Sensor & Fibre optics with special interest on development of sensor technology for the detection of chemical species in liquid/ gas phase using fibre-loop resonators / FBG based resonators, development of chemical sensors using Microstructure Optical Fibre (MOF) for detection of chemical species, biomedical sensors, packaging of fibre-sensors and characterization.
