Dr. Vamsi Krishna Balla is currently a Senior Principal Scientist in the department of Bioceramics & Coating Division CSIR Central glass and ceramic research institute India. He got Young Scientist Award from Punjab Academy of Sciences, India, 2002, American Welding Society (India Chapter) best paper, 4th NSRS, IIT Madras, India, 2002,Second prize in Metallography Contest (SEM Category), National Metallurgist Day / 55th ATM, Indian Institute of Metals, Bhubaneswar, India, 2001,Sudarshan Bhatt Memorial Award for M. Tech. Thesis, IIT Madras, India, 1998.
