Research Interest
Reaction based processing of non-oxide ceramics (Reactive melt infiltration, Reactive gas infiltration, Reaction bonding, Reaction sintering), Porous ceramics and hot gas filtration (Micro and macroporous ceramics, nanoporous ceramics, ceramic hot gas filters, simultaneous separation of particle and gaseous impurities from coal-derived gases, catalytic ceramic filters, coal and bio-mass gasification gas cleaning by catalytic ceramic filters, high efficiency air filters), Innovative processing of ceramics and biomorphic ceramics (Ceramics with hierarchical microcellular morphology, bio-template assisted processing of nano-structured materials), Optimization and future development of non-oxide ceramic process engineering (pressureless sintering, liquid phase sintering, hot-pressing and oxide bonding).
