Biography
Possesses over 25 years of experience in the area of analysis of structures (primarily in vibrations and aeroelastic problems of aerospace structures). Worked for the aerospace industry and academia for 16 years that includes ISRO-VSSC Trivandrum, IIT Kharagpur, CSIR-NAL Bangalore and DLR-Gottingen, Germany). Worked in several important projects that includes those of VSSC (Aeroelastic Analysis of the GSLV and RLV), CSIR-NAL (Vibrations and Aeroelastic problems of the SARAS wing, T-tail structure and propeller). Made seminal contributions in the area of Mathematical (error) Analysis of the Finite Element Method using the function space approach. Published several journal and conference papers, technical reports and one book. Supervised several UG and PG theses/ vocational training work, and co-supervised one PhD thesis. Currently supervising two Ph.D theses work. Currently working at CSIR-CMERI in Structural analysis related to (i) Dynamic Stability of the LCA Nose Landing Gear (ii) Design of the Solar Power Tree Structure, being developed by CMERI and (iii) Powered Support Units employed in Longwall Mining.
