Dr. S.Adimurthy Principal Scientist in Natural Products and Green Chemistry Division Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute His Research Activities Halogenation of aromatic by environment-friendly (green) reagents, Green Processes of Halogenation (Br & I) of aromatics, Synthesis of Pharmaceutical & Industrial intermediates, Regioselective benzylic brominations, and preparation of halohydrins, Synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, Green Oxidative methods in Organic synthesis, Selective dehalogenation of polyhalophenols, Dehalonitration of halophenols. Also achieved a breakthrough for the preparation of biodiesel which compiles the quality of EN 14214 specifications from Jatropha Curcus seeds through base catalyzed transesterification process. Cu(I)-Catalyzed Oxidative Homocoupling of Terminal Alkynes to 1,3-Diynes Using Air as an Oxidant, Hydroarylation reactions.
