Biography
Anil Kumar’s Research and Teaching interests include Philosophy, Social Theory and Sexuality. Before joining the CUK faculty in 2012, he was serving as Assistant Professor of Sociology in Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. He previously worked as Assistant Professor of Sociology in Miranda House College at University of Delhi and also remained UGC Research Fellow in School of Social Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University from 2006 to 2009. He finished his BA in Social Sciences (History, Politics and Sociology) in 2004 and MA in Sociology in 2006 at University of Jammu and completed MPhil in Philosophy at Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2008. He also holds an MA in Philosophy and Religion from Madurai Kamaraj University along with a qualification of UGC NET for Assistant Professor in Philosophy and Comparative Study of Religions and UGC NET for Lectureship and JRF in Sociology and Women Studies. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences and presented papers in the areas of his interest and specialization. Beside academic job he has also got flair for writing poetry, songs and articles in Dogri, Hindi and English languages.
