Biography
Dr. Pervez Ahmed is born and brought up in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Graduated from Shibli National College, Azamgarh and did MA, M. Phil. and Ph. D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Worked as a guest faculty (Urdu) in Mohd Masood Khan Degree College, Mangrawan, Azamgarh and as a Linguist in the Department of Sanskrit Studies, University of Hyderabad I also worked as a Language Editor in Language Technology Research Centre, International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. My areas of academic interests are Classical and Modern Urdu Poetry, Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics and Machine Translation.
