Dr. Elezebeth Mathews

Biography

Dr. Elezebeth Mathews has joined the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine,Central University of Kerala as an Assistant Professor. She has a postgraduate and doctoral degree in Public Health from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, following the Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Christian Medical College, Vellore. She has three years of work experience in community based health programs at Community Health and Development (CHAD), Christian Medical College, Vellore and six years of research experience at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum. She has presented research papers in several national and international conferences and has won awards including a young scientist award. She has attended short-term trainings/workshops at the Department of Epidemiology & International Public Health University of Bielefeld, Germany through DAAD funded scholarship; University of Edinburgh;Monash University, Australia; and University of Melbourne, Australia. She is a fellow of the Asian Collaboration for Excellence in Non communicable Diseases Research Network(ASCEND), University of Melbourne funded by the United States National Institutes of Health(US-NIH). She has several publications in international peer reviewed PubMed indexed journals and a book chapter.
