Biography
Dr. Rajendra did MSc (Biochemistry) from MG University and PhD (Biochemistry) from Osmania University. He had been an adhoc faculty at the Dept. of Chemistry, Govt. College, Kasaragod, a Research Associate at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, a Postdoctoral Fellow at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, and in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He joined CUK in 2011. He has 18 high impact peer reviewed international publications in reputed journals such as JBC, JMB, EMBO J, Vaccine etc and made 4 international conference presentations. Currently, he is working in the area of Dengue virus replication and autophagy, Antiviral Compounds, Adenovirus based gene delivery, P-type ATPases and cancer drug resistance. His reserach work is supported by various agencies such as UGC, KBC (KSCSTE), DST and DBT. Recently, he received prestigious Raman Fellowship for postdoctoral Fellowship in USA from UGC.
