Biography
Dr. Amiya Priyam completed BSc Hons in Chemistry from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi and MSc in Chemistry from University of Delhi with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry. He worked as post-doctoral research associate at Department of Chemistry, Florida State University, USA and as a post-doctoral research fellow in the Division of Bioengineering, National University of Singapore. Before joining CUB, he worked as Assistant Professor at Dept. of Applied Chemistry, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. He is heading two research projects from DST and has one CRS grant (UGC-DAE Consortium). He is a life member of prestigious scientific societies like Materials Research Society of India and Chemical Research Society of India. He is also serving as Reviewer for prestigious journals of American Chemical Society(ACS), USA and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), London.
Research Interest
Synthesis & Applications of Plasmonic and Luminescent Nanomaterials (Biofunctionalized & luminescent quantum dots, Tunable plasmonic nanoparticles, nano-biosensors, photocatalysis, Lanthanide-based Upconversion luminescent nanocrystals for bioimaging and photodynamic therapy, NP based SERS spectroscopy).
