Biography
Dr. Anil Kumar Singh Jha completed his M. A., M. Phil. and Ph. D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is presently working as an Associate Professor in Centre for Sociological Studies. Before joining Central University of South Bihar, he taught Sociology at Mody University of Science and Technology (MUST), Lakshmangarh, Sikar for nine years. Besides holding the membership of Postgraduate and Research Programme Committee, Undergraduate Programme Committee and Board of Studies (Arts), Dr. Jha was also on the Senate of MUST, Lakshmangarh. He had also been associated with NCERT, New Delhi, SLBSRS Vidyapeetha (Deemed University), New Delhi, AIIMS, New Delhi and Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur in various capacities. He has authored four books, ‘Rethinking Gender Equality’, ‘Sociological Thinkers’, ‘Demography and Development: Challenges of Change’ and ‘Brief Intervention: A Manual for Practice’. In addition to several book chapters, he has also contributed to numerous articles. His teaching and research interests include social thought, gender, social demography, etc.
