Dr. Atish Prashar

Biography

Dr. Atish Parashar is one of the renowned media educationists, specialists and researchers in the country. He is a self-motivated professional who has worked on different media platforms ranging from print, radio, television and films, before switching over to media academics. He is a professional with high creative capabilities and analytic skills which reflected in all his endeavors. Dr. Atish Parashar has three degrees MJMC, M. Phil and Ph.D. He is the author of two books, "Event management: Methods and Principles", Apple Publication, New Delhi and “New Media: Concepts and principles” by Manyata Prakashan, New Delhi. His work has also appeared in a number of scholarly journals as he has published more than dozen articles in national and International research journals of repute. His research articles published in USA and China specifically received applause from many fellow researchers. He has attended a number of seminars and FDPs, Training programs, and International Film festivals at various media institutions. He has been a multitasker and worked on various media projects. He has been an Honorary Principal Editor of YUVASOCH, a monthly magazine based on youth issues. He is regularly contributing opinion articles, analysis and features in leading national dailies and magazines. Dr Atish Parashar is associated with several universities and institutions as an examiner, paper setter, visiting faculty and mentor. He has taught at most of the prestigious media institutions, including Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, Delhi University, GGS IP University, IGNOU, Appejay Institute, IIS University, Rajasthan and many more. He has to his credit a long list of papers presented at national and international seminars and conferences. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, GGSIPU University wherein he played a vital role in organizing quality events like SPANDAN, IGNITE and Milestone. In organizing these events he collaborated with many world level corporate houses like Microsoft, ONGC, SAIL, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti etc.  An excellent communication strategist, prolific writer and researcher, Dr. Prashar believes in simple living and high thinking.
