Dr. Pradeep Kr. Das

Biography

Dr. Das, obtained BCom (Hons) degree in 1993 from Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration, Calcutta, under Calcutta University, and also MCom degree from the Calcutta University in 1995. He obtained LL.B. degree from University of Burdwan, W.B., in 1998 and practiced law in the High Court at Calcutta from 1999 to 2002. He obtained his LLM degree from North Orissa University (First Class First) in 2005. Dr. Das obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (PGDIPR) jointly from IGNOU & WIPO, Geneva (First Division) in 2008. Dr. Das qualified NET (LAW) under University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2010. He was awarded PhDin 2011 in the areas of Intellectual Property Rights law by the University of Burdwan. He served as the Examiner of Trade Marks (Gazetted Officer) in the Intellectual Property Right Bhavan, Salt Lake, Kolkata under the Government of India in 2006. Dr. Das joined Haldia Law College, under Vidyasagar University, W.B., as a Lecturer of Law in 2006. He was also appointed as Lecturer of law in Bengal Law College, Bolpur, Santiniketan, W.B., under Burdwan University from 2008 to 2010. He was appointed as Principal of Haldia Law College, Vidyasagar University, W.B., in 2011. He was appointed as Assistant Professor-II, in School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, in 2012 and served the University till August, 2013. He joined in the post of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF BIHAR, in 2013.His areas of interests are Business Laws including Corporate Laws, Intellectual Property Rights Laws, Constitutional and Human Rights Laws. He has many publications in different law journals of National and International repute and he is also member of many professional and academic bodies.
