Biography
Dr. Pranav Kumar is at present Assistant Professor, Centre for Political Studies, Central University of Bihar. He qualified for UGC-NET in the subject Politics in Dec 1999 and is a recipient of Jawaharlal Memorial Fellowship for his doctoral studies. He got his MA in Politics (with specialisations on International Relations) from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and got his MPhil, PhD, both from African Studies, Centre for West Asian and African Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The title of his doctoral thesis is ‘India’s Energy Security: Potential of the Gulf of Guinea.’ Prior to his current position, he was working as Assistant Professor-Senior Scale at Department of Geopolitics and International Relations, Manipal University, Manipal. He has had a stint as Assistant Professor at Hawassa University, Ethiopia. He also taught at Delhi University and NRAI, New Delhi, and worked as Research Associate for an ICCSSR sponsored project at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has a number of publications to his credit.
