Biography
Dr. Tara Kashav joined CUB as Assistant Professor in June 2013. She had postdoctoral training at UMASS Medical School, Worcester, MA, USA (2010 - 2012). Dr. Kashav received PhD Degree (2010) and MSc Life Sciences degree (2004) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. During her academic career she received DAAD (German academic exchange service) Fellowship (2008) for pursuing her PhD work at Institut fuer kristallographie, Freie Universitaet Berlin, Berlin, Germany. She has presented her work at several international/national conferences and received best poster award (2005) at Symposium on Macromolecular Crystallography at Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad, India. She qualified for the JRF/NET Fellowship (2003) awarded by University Grants Commission. She has published her research work in reputed international and national journals like PLoS One, Biochemistry, Nucleic Acids Research, J Sep Sci., Mol Reprod Dev. etc. She has a Govt. sponsored grant 'Structural Investigations of Human Interferon Regulatory Factor 6: Implications in Development and Cancer' under DBT Bio-CARe Scheme for Women Scientists (Duration: 3 Years; Amount: 14 Lakhs).
