Biography
Prabhat K. Singh, M. A. (Goldmedallist), Ph. D., is Professor and Head, Centre for Foreign Languages (English) and Dean-in-Charge, School of Languages and Literature, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. A distinguished academic of more than thirty-five years of standing teaching UG, PG, M. Phil and Ph D level programmes, Dr Singh has to his credit fifteen books of critical and creative writings including his recent publications from Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK, The Indian English Novel of the New Millennium (2013) and Random Thoughts: Essays in Criticism (2015). Besides, he has dozens of research papers published in Indian and foreign literary journals and anthologies. With poetry, fiction and literary criticism as his main areas of academic interest he has attended/chaired forty-five national and international seminars/conferences in India and abroad. A bilingual poet and translator, he is the recipient of National Millennium Honour 2000 and Michael Madhusudan Award 2003. He has been on visits to Malaysia, Spain, Singapore, Australia and the USA with varied academic engagements at the universities.
