Prof. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava

Biography

Dr. Sanjay Prakash Srivastava is Professor in School of Law & Governance. He is Head and Dean of School of Law & Governance, CUSB Gaya. Prior to joining Central University of South Bihar he has served in many places such as Galgotias University, Greater Noida, ALS Delhi; Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University; New Delhi, Institute of Law; Kurukshetra University, National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata and Faculty of Law; Delhi University. He has obtained his LL.M. & LL.B degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has been awarded gold medal for securing first rank in LL.M in the University. He did his Doctorate in Law from Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia; New Delhi on the topic entitled “Patenting of Biotechnological Inventions in India: A Critical Appraisal”. His areas of specializations are Intellectual Property Law, International Trade Law, Cyber Law and Law & Governance. He has published extensively in the field of Intellectual Property Law, Administrative Law, Cyber Law and Human rights in reputed National and International Law journals. His has recently authored book entitled “Patenting of Biotechnological Inventions in India”. He has also authored book on Laws Relating to Patents and Legal Methods. He has presented several research papers in national and international seminar & conferences.  He is serving as the member of editorial boards of various reputed national and international journals. He has successfully completed the UNDP-Ministry of Justice sponsored project  on “Mapping of Informal Justice System in the State of Haryana” under the Programme of Strengthening Access to Justice in India (SAJI I).  He was part of NBRA Draft Bill 2008 consultant committee. He has been invited as resource person in many training programme specially Nepal Patent Attorney Training and Urban Ministry Vigilance Officers Training Programme. Professor Srivastava has guided more than hundred dissertations of UG and PG students. He has been invited as resource person by various institutions for Ph.D. Students workshops. Prof. Srivastava has chaired and co-chaired the several National & International Seminar and conferences in India. He is the visiting faculty of Indian Law Institute; Delhi and Indian Institute of Public Administration. He has organised several seminar, Legal Awareness Camp and Moot Court competitions. He has drafted more than two dozen moot propositions based on issues relating to intellectual property law, international law and cyber law.
