Biography
Dr. Monika Chansoria is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), New Delhi, where she heads the China-study programme. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Hérmes FMSH Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Centre for International Studies and Research in Paris. Dr. Chansoria has been awarded many prominent international academic fellowships, including at the Cooperative Monitoring Center (Sandia National Laboratories, USA), Japanese Global Chair of Excellence Fellowship (Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan) and the MSH Senior Fellowship as Visiting Professor and Associate Director of Studies (Paris).
Research Interest
Dr. Chansoria has contributed numerous peer-reviewed research papers and articles in various edited book volumes and academic journals. She is a regular participant in Track 1.5 & 2 diplomatic dialogues and contributes to national and international dailies. Besides, she also writes a regular column on foreign policy and strategic affairs for The Sunday Guardian newspaper.
