Biography
Ajit Mozoomdar, honorary research professor at CPR, has spent more than six decades studying India’s political economy and the evolution of its development policies. Until 1980, he was actively involved in shaping these policies as an officer of the Indian Administrative Service. Before his retirement, Dr Mozoomdar served as secretary in the Ministry of Finance and secretary of the Planning Commission. He received a DPhil from Oxford.
