Biography

Dr (Brig) K.Ravi Shankar is a highly accomplished and very senior Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He has over 45 years of experience in the field of dentistry He is a topper in university in B.D.S (Osmania) and obtained his M.D.S in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Bombay), while serving in Armed Forces. During his 35 years in service in Defence he had the distinction of holding various prestigious appointments in both Army and Air Force, such as Commandant and Command Dental adviser simultaneously for two Commands and Associate Professor AFMC, Pune .He has over 18 years of rich and fruitful teaching experience in both civil and defence institutions and published and presented number of papers in national and international forums. He has been awarded with Chief of Air Staff commendation and VSM (Visishta Seva Medal) from the then President of India Late Dr Abdul Kalam, in recognition of his distinguished service. He is a recipient of FIBOMS (Fellow Indian Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons ) and FPFA (Fellow Perrie Fauchard Academy) by both Indian and USA organizations. In his free time he likes traveling and meeting different people.
