Biography

Dr. K. SURESH is the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at CMR College of Engineering & Technology. He pursued his under graduation from Sri Venkateswara University in the year 1999. He awarded M.Tech degree from JNTU College of Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada with specialization of Geotechnical Engineering in the year 2003. Awarded with Ph. D from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.He has 7 years of teaching and 3 years of research experience. He has 27 research paper publications at International and National level. Among these papers, four journal papers were published at International Journal. First journal paper was published on “Pull-out response of in-situ granular pile-anchors in expansive clay beds” Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, ASCE Vol.133 No.5 (2007) PP-531-538, Second paper was published on “Response of granular pile-anchor under Compression” Ground Improvement Journal, UK, 161 issue GI 3 (2008) PP121-129, Third paper was published on “Field behavior of expansive clay beds reinforced with granular pile-anchors” Ground Improvement Journal, UK 161 issue GI 4 (2008) PP199-206, and Fourth paper was published on “Effect Creep on Settlement of Granular Pile Reinforced Ground” International Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, IJGE, (2010) Vol4: PP495-505. One National journal was published on “Analysis of Effect of Creep on Response of Granular Pile Reinforced Ground” Indian Geotechnical Journal, (IGJ) 39(4) October, (2009) PP 399-423. Three International conference papers and thirteen national conference papers were published.He presented two seminars and eight conference papers at National level. He has presented a research paper at National Conference in the “Second Indian Young Geo-technical Engineers Conference” (2nd IYGEC-09) held in JNTU, Kakinada in March 2009 in a very impressive manner which earned third prize. He has played a major role in organizing “First Indian Young Geotechnical Engineers conference” (FIYGEC - 2007) and “Symposium on Engineering ground and Environmental Geotechnics” (S EG2 -08) held at Department of Civil Engineering, JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad. He organized several workshops, conferences, symposiums and guest lectures. He delivered a guest lecture on “Innovative Foundation Practices in Problematic Soils” at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 12 Feb 2011.
