Biography
Suchismita Sanyal graduated with Master’s Degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Indian Institute of Science (IISc). She is currently the Team Lead of Computational Materials Science at Shell. A metallurgist by training, she started her career in Computational Materials Science at GE Global Research (March 2001-July 2014), exploring novel high temperature coatings and alloys for diverse applications at GE including Lighting, Power & Water, Aviation, Oil & Gas . She is continuing that journey at Shell (July 2014-current), pushing boundaries of first-principles calculations and other methodologies to explore materials for catalysis and new energies in the Oil & Gas and Energy space.
