Biography

Mr. G. A. Raju is the Head, IT department of the CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad, INDIA. He Holds MCA from University of Hyderabad in 1989 and M. Tech (IT) from VMU in 2006, INDIA. He joined CSIR-IIIM, Jammu-Tawi as scientist in 1989 and 1996 transferred to CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad. In 2013 he becomes Head, IT and responsible for Network, System and Security administration. He is an experienced IT professional with comprehensive technical skill set in rendering services to the management in evolving computer policies, in setting plans for evaluation, acquisition, upgradation of hardware, software requirements in response to organization needs and technological developments. Built a strong foundation in, identifying the system requirements, project management, lifecycle deployments, lifecycle phases of analysis, system design, development, integration, testing, implementation, operations and maintenance. In-depth experience in cost management, time management, risk management, integration management, project budget analysis and contract management. With an wide experience in Intranet/Internet services, protocols, routing, switching fabric solutions, multiple bandwidth integration and load-balancing delivery. He have been analyzed overall network security, recommended configurations to enhance network security and hardened perimeter security. Also deployed emergency recovery plans for campus, created documentation with a systematic guide for recovery of critical systems. Installed upgrade/patch management solution for workstation and server on-site software upgrades. Built, installed, maintained and administered operating system environments of UNIX, Linux, Novell and Windows NT/2000/2003/2008/2012 Servers. Implemented in ICT technologies, design & deployments, recommendation and specialized experience in LAN, WAN, WLAN, DMZ and VPN mode communications, configuration and utilization experience of Cisco switches/ routers/ firewalls/ load balancers. Internet services & protocols of NetBIOS, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, TFTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, LDAP, AD, SQL-Net, SSL, IMAP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, MMTP, NNMP, Socks, WAIS z-39.50 and Streaming Protocols. Strong understanding gained in physical & logical network topologies, hands on experience on LINUX based open-source code implementation, configuring open source services of HPC Cluster, Messaging, Proxy, IDS/IPS, Firewall, Databases, ACL filtering, etc. Acquired in-depth knowledge in LAN/WAN based applications design, deployment, monitoring, administration, utilizing access controls and secure authentication.
