Biography
Dr. Satyanarayana V Nandury started his research career in 1989 as a scientist in the CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML), Jamshedpur. He was heading the Super Computer Facility for Blast Furnace Modeling and Process Simulation Lab at CSIR-NML. He developed expertise in design of microprocessor based systems, process instrumentation & automation, process modeling & simulation of metallurgical reactors. He was involved in the design & development of Real-time Process simulators which were successfully commissioned in ferro-alloy and Iron & steel industries. The technologies developed by him to automate the upper atmosphere data recording, was commissioned at Antarctica. He participated in the Indian Scientific Expedition team to Antarctica in 1997, to take forward his innovations. Dr. Satyanarayana moved to CSIR-IICT in June 2008, and is presently heading the Business Development & Technology outreach Division of the Institute. Dr. Satyanarayana is a Professor in the disciplines of i)Engineering Sciences and ii) Mathematical & Information Sciences in the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), an Institute/ University set up by an act of Parliament. He is the Secretary, Governing Council, of the Society for Biotechnology Incubation Centre, an incubation centre established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of Andhra Pradesh and CSIR-IICT at the Genome Valley, Hyderabad.
