Biography
Suresh received his PhD from School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad in 2006. His PhD thesis work included the development of ‘Stereoselective C-C bond forming reactions using titanium reagents’. Subsequently he went for postdoctoral studies at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin (2006-2009) where he worked on the Diversity Oriented Synthesis and on the synthesis of MRSA active agents and antihypertensive agents. Then he moved for postdoctoral studies at Uppsala University, Sweden (2009-2011). During this time he worked on the design and synthesis of anti-tubercular and anti-malarial agents. He was appointed as a Scientist [Gr.IV(2)] at CSIR-IICT in November 2011. His research interests: Organocatalysis with an emphasis on N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalysis, Organometallic Chemistry, Development of New Synthetic Methodologies and Synthesis of Biologically Relevant Molecules. He has 29 publications to his credit.
