Biography
Born in the year 1963,in a small village-Narahan, of Chandauli district in Uttar Pradesh state of India, Dr. Ashok K. Tiwari had his education in Varanasi, the city of Lord Vishwanath. After completion of his Ph.D. Degree from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University in 1992, he got award of CSIR-Research Associateship in 1993. Upon completion of his research associateship, Dr. Tiwari was awarded CSIRs prestigious fellowship under Quick Recruitment of Scientists scheme at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad in the year 1998. He was absorbed into the laboratory in year 2001 as Senior Scientist and has rised up to the level of Senior Principal Scientist. Dr. Tiwari has made significant contributions in the area of metabolic disorders and has been instrumental in developing tools like Chemobiological fingerprints for standardisation of herbal extracts with defined biological activities and SDS-PAGE based protein-finger prints for vegetables juice and food products. He has to his credit number of patents, more than 104 publications and delivered more than 50 popular lectures at different places of repute.
